A vinyl disc collection is something to be proud of nowadays and it would be a shame to leave them forgotten somewhere. If you want to keep track of the albums you have, Vinyl Manager can certainly meet your demands. You can use this lightweight application to catalog your vinyl discs and maintain a well-organized library. It lets you attach numerous details to each entry in your database and it comes with a few other interesting features, which can make your work quite easy.

Vinyl Manager is offered as a freeware application, for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The application uses very little disk space, memory and processing power. Also, it doesn't require any special tools or services, so you can launch it right away.

Albums are displayed on the main user interface, along with every bit of information you can assign. You can sift through artists, on the left side of the window, and view their albums in a separate list. Once you select an artist and an album, the interface will be populated with a huge amount of information, including name, year, country, details about the disc itself, as well as a cover image. You can also find the songs in that album in separate lists, for each side of the disc.

New album entries can be created on a separate window. All you have to do is fill in a series of input fields with the relevant details. Additionally, you can specify when you've purchased the album and select an image from your hard drive and use it as the cover art. If you don't have the cover image in your local folders, you can simply click a search button and the software will find a cover image, based on the provided artist and album names.

More information about a disc can be added on another window. You can specify the size of the disc, the number of channels and, more important, you can add tracks to either side of the disc. Another useful feature is the possibility of searching for track titles on the Internet, which doesn't take more than a single click. The search results include tracks from various disc versions, including CDs and it is up to you to pick the right set. Once a set is selected, the tracks will be added automatically to both disc sides.
